New Daylight Savings Hours
Coffee to the People is happy to announce that it is extending its hours for daylight savings.
Starting Monday, April 2, we will be open until 9 pm every night (9:30 on Tuesdays for open mic).

New Drinks!
Coffee to the People is excited to announce its new "signature drink" menu. Joining our classic Mint Matcha Mocha, we have four more new beverages that you will only see at CTTP:
Flower Power™ – This invigorating vegan drink is a CTTP-exclusive blend of our espresso, chai, and foamy soy milk. As far as we know, we are the only coffeehouse anywhere to offer an exclusively vegan espresso and "milk" drink, and the only one to have perfected the exact balance of espresso and chai necessary to make this drink taste so good.
Mint Matcha Mocha – A Coffee to the People original, with organic Matcha green tea, mint, steamed milk, and chocolate. We start with organic Matcha, a fine, powdered green tea used in Japanese tea ceremonies, with a mild green tea flavor and loaded with antioxidants (more on the Matcha and antioxidants here). Then we mix in chocolate and steamed milk with just the right about of milk for a flavor remarkably like mint chocolate-chip ice cream. What a great treat. MMM …
Golden Gate – Not far from our coffeehouse is that internationally reknown landmark bridge with its two orange towers and classic suspension lines. This drink is our tribute to the Golden Gate, a triple mocha with a twist… an orange twist. We start with three fresh shots of delicioius, organic espresso, blend in classic San Francisco Ghiradelli chocolate, and add foamy milk, orange syrup and a bit of fresh, organic orange rind. Refreshing and a little sweet.
Freak Out™ – You might know this drink elsewhere as a "depth charge." This is our take. Four shots of great organic, fair trade espresso in a cup of piping hot organic, fair trade coffee. Packs a whollop. If you are going to do any actual freaking out, though, our other guests would probably prefer that you get this one to go.
Chocolate to the People™ – A drink truly worthy of the "To The People" moniker. We carefully blend dark and white chocolate, espresso and milk for a delectably chocolate drink, then top it with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles or shavings. A great desert treat at the end of the day.
Staff Day / Early Closing and New Menus - Jan. 22
In an effort to train our baristas to be the best in San Francisco, and keep the coffeehouse running as smoothly as possible, Coffee to the People has committed to close the store once each quarter for Staff Day training and shop maintenance. The Q1 2007 store closing and staff day will be on Monday, Jan. 22. We will be open from 6 - 10 am, but closed the rest of the day.
We apologize for any convenience, but hope you will agree that our periodic training and maintenance days will make everyone's experience that much better.
During this Staff Day, we will also be replacing the menus. The new menus should be more reader-friendly and emphasize some unique offerings of our shop.
At the same time, for the first time in more than a year we are looking a price adjustment. During that time, transportation, energy and labor costs have escalated, and even Starbucks has undergone a price increase. We will work to keep our prices competitive while continuing to serve only the very best in organic and fair trade coffees and teas.
